COVID 19: All participants and their guests are expected to follow CDC, State of Maryland, Thistle Class Association, and Severn Sailing Association guidance as appropriate.

Clean Regatta

• We have registered as a Clean Regatta with Sailors for the Sea (www.sailorsforthesea.org). You can help by bringing and using refillable water bottles and beer & coffee cups, reef-safe sunscreen, non-toxic boat wash (or water-only), and reusable bags for regatta provisioning. Please dispose of waste in the proper receptacle (compost/landfill/recycle).

• Another way you can help our clean regatta effort is to help us reuse and upcycle old sails that you are not using. If you have sails that would be fine to use for day sailing/learning to sail a Thistle please consider bringing them to the Oyster Roast to donate to the Thistles Edward John has so kindly rehabbed to get more folks into a Thistle. If you have sails that are not useful anymore, you can support our Thistle Class/Sea Bags upcycling partnership by donating those sails at this regatta to be made into future trophies and keep the sails out of the landfill.

• These sails can be any type of white sail in any condition. Thistle sails, or sails from any other kinds of boat no matter how old are welcome.

Regatta Food

Breakfasts: Continental Breakfasts for 3 are included with Registration.

Appetizers and Oysters Party : • Oysters and appetizers for 3 people are included with registration. • Additional tickets for extra oysters and appetizers can be purchased online or Saturday morning for $7 per person  • Cash Bar

Dinners: • Dinner is not included in Registration but tickets are available for $16 per person . Cash Bar. • Menu: BBQ chicken, pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, garden salad, and dessert. • To guarantee dinner, payment must be received online by Monday, October 3. Only a limited number of dinners will be available for purchase after this time. • Please contact Cairn Krafft for information regarding vegetarian or children’s dinners.

Housing

Housing: • Many hotels and several camping facilities are located in the greater Annapolis area. • Limited housing is available with Fleet members. Contact Amy Krafft (amyekrafft@gmail.com or 703- 684-6864).

Lunches

Lunches: • Lunches will not be available at SSA. • Two nearby business offer crew lunches: Bread & Butter Kitchen (www.breadandbutterkitchen.com) and Leeward Market (www.leewardmarketcafe.com).

Boat Shows

United States Boat Shows: Please note that the Powerboat Show coincides with our event this year. The Sailboat Show is October 13-17.
